Galapagos Islands, Ecuador

Sea Kayaking & Hiking Journey by Day From a Beautiful Catamaran in the Enchanted Galápagos Island

Trip Overview
  • Easy Tropical Sea Kayaking, Easy Day Hikes, Snorkeling
  • 3 Nights Hotels, 7 Nights on Catamaran
  • 1 Day of Transport To and From Your Home

Imagine yourself in the Galápagos in the fresh ocean air, pulling your paddle out of the clear water, when suddenly a marine turtle comes up for air right next to you!  Or imagine gliding into a solitary bay and finding a beach inhabited solely by sea lions, marine turtles or large, curious marine iguanas. Yes it’s true, we’ll feel alone in the famous Galápagos wilderness as we kayak by day and sail by night.

Explorers’ Corner thinks experiencing this natural wonder of the world from a kayak is the ultimate way to go. And now it’s finally possible thanks to our friends in the Galápagos who have secured kayaking permits for us again in 2008 and 2009. Just you and only 7 other co-explorers will share this adventure. It’s a more intimate and unusual way to experience Galápagos.

We have the perfect sailing vessel for getting us to all the special hidden spots. Our elegant and famous catamaran, the Galápagos Vision was built by Philippe Jeantot, three-time “round-the-world sailing champion”. It has comfortable cabins, a great lounge, both inside and out, plus a friendly crew who will fix a full gourmet board every day.

Every day, we will explore a different island either on foot or by kayak, and in the late afternoons our catamaran will pick us up and deliver us to yet another spectacularly beautiful Galápagos habitat to explore, there are so many. Apart from kayaking there is a lot of swimming, beachcombing and snorkeling to be done.
